Hope Church Sittingbourne exists to see Jesus honoured, disciples made and nations reached.
Our story so far…
On 7th May 2018 the Watson family moved to Sittingbourne, having been sent by Cornerstone City Church, Medway, to pioneer a new church community in the nearby Kentish Town of Sittingbourne.
Over the summer months we worshipped with Faversham Community Church (a nearby Relational Mission church) and subsequently several key people and families have been sent from FCC to join the Hope Church Sittingbourne team.
Hope Church Sittingbourne gathers during the week in various homes and every Sunday morning in a local Costa Coffee, having started weekly Sundays on 6th January 2019.
The church recently saw their first person come to faith since the plant began (they were baptised in the Watson family bath-tub!).
Having been establishing roots in Sittingbourne for over a year now, the church community is beginning to stretch out and engage with the local town in a number of creative ways.
Things to pray for:
Increasing confidence and boldness as we obediently step out into the harvest field to share the Gospel with friends, family and local people
Plans and preparations towards starting a CAP LifeSkills course in partnership with Churches Together in Sittingbourne
The process of becoming registered as a UK charity, setting up of a new bank account, formation of policies towards good governance that honours Jesus
