Advice and help for UK charities

It is important for charities, such as churches, to invest in good governance and up to date training. Some of our churches in the UK use AFVS (Advice For the Voluntary Sector). Charity specialist Andy Strajnic tells us more.

In today’s climate it’s more important than ever to invest in good governance and up to date training.  So many of our members have contacted us in the last year seeking advice and help on the changes in regulation being introduced, affecting charities and churches specifically.

The Charity Commission want to see that good advice and training has been provided for the trustees and that they are well aware of and up to date with their responsibilities. We want to bring you up-to-speed with all the changes/implications and to equip you to be able to face any challenge so that you can get on with the vision and mission you have.

Our speciality is looking after Charities, Churches, CICs and the people who are involved with them whether they be trustees, paid staff or volunteers.

With our long experience of working particularly with churches we understand the increasing pressures for administrators and trustees to comply with charity regulations and where applicable company law.

Our Mission is to keep churches and charities safe and compliant. We offer high-quality, low-cost support and advice to our members across the UK, including Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

By offering a Membership Service we will provide you with ongoing support and advice from our Charity Specialists and Charity Trainer, online resources and access to a range of services that takes the stress away from you and keeps you safe and compliant.

If you wish to look at membership to AFVS or want to book any training with us  or just need some advice then please contact us support@afvs.org.uk
