Let's raise the roof in Bolivia!

The Butcher family have been in Boliva since April 2021, where they have a vision to reach out to disadvantaged children in the area of Santa Cruz as R Mission Bolivia.

In the time that has passed, they have been doing ‘church on the street’ and ministering particularly to disadvantaged children and families in the area of Santa Cruz, developing agricultural projects to generate income, whilst also embarking on an exciting building project: to construct a rehabilitation centre that will serve to be a place of healing and restoration for their community. Watch their latest video update below:

Progress on the building has been encouraging: the walls are up and floors are in, but with recent heavy rains water has leaked through and highlighted the urgent need for a permanent roof to be added.

Burpees, squats and push-ups

If you’ve been following the Butcher family on social media (@rmissionbolivia), you’ll have enjoyed watching their recent campaign ‘You give… we burpee!’ A total of £40,000 needs to be raised to complete the roof. During the month of December the whole family were completing exercises for every £1 they received from those in RM and beyond - a lot of working out! Through their burpee campaign they were able to raise £12,000 - a fantastic amount!

They need to raise just under £30,000 more to reach their goal of £40,000 and fund a permanent roof for the centre, aiming to begin preliminary construction work in February.
