Finding the nations in Nîs: Serbia trip

Hannah Easterbrooks lives in the US, where she is part of a Regions Beyond church. She took part in our ID internship a couple of years ago and recently joined a small team visiting Serbia.
Last September, we traveled to Niš, Serbia, to take part in a youth and young adults event with Good News Church!
The conference lasted three days, in which time we visited two Roma churches - one in Bojnik and the other in Leskovac. Despite the language gaps, the worship was incredibly joyful, and the people were so hospitable. We spent an additional two days with Good News Church as they hosted youth events for the community. We also joined with some ID students who are placed there this year.
We spent so much time talking about the building up of the church in Niš; what that looks like practically and spiritually. An amazing aspect of the week was seeing God gathering the nations together. As visitors from the UK and US we joined together with those living and studying locally, Serbs, Roma and other Europeans, and others from Africa and Asia too.
What we see in Christ is a gathering of nations and churches and people. Let’s push into the nations, and make disciples. Let’s pray for the church in Niš for this outpouring of God’s favor over those in the church, as well as the city.
