Find your place in God’s Purposes

Call General for Web Pages.png
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
— John 15:16 (ESV)

As a family of churches God has challenged us to be a courageous people. Over the last couple of years we have explored what it means to take courage in our lives, in our churches and as a movement. God has been preparing us.

He has given us a bold and courageous vision to be globally fruitful, to cross all the boundaries laid before us, making disciples and planting locally led churches.

We have imagined together what this could look like - from seeing 100 more RM churches planted in the UK, to pioneering 20 churches in every nation of Europe as well as having multiplying churches in every continent of the world.

The achievement of such a global vision can only be achieved by God, YET he chooses to fulfil his redemptive work through us.

Our starting point in this is to fully understand our call to Christ and our call to Go. Our response should be to surrender completely to Him, putting His will, plans and purposes first; to be on the front foot, ready to be a part of God’s plan to restore relationship with those that are lost in the world around us.

Let us be on the move like never before, without worrying about ‘where’ or ‘how’, assured that God has a unique place for us all in his purposes.

Only once we stand on these foundations can we see everyone mobilised to run the race God has outlined for them: to throw off everything that hinders and respond to the call of God upon their lives and be fruitful.

Only then can we expect to achieve more in 20 years than many have in 50.

On 27-30 May 2020 we are returning to Friends House, London, UK for our missions and leadership conference, THE CALL.

Each of us has a call on our lives, and this conference will help you explore the part God is calling you to play in our global mission, as well as encourage you and equip you to answer the call.

Who is the Conference for?

He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.
— 1 Thess 5:24 (ESV)

If you feel God is awakening you for fresh missional adventures then this conference is for you. You may not know the how, where or even the what of the call of God as yet. But if you are stirred to respond to whatever God asks of you in this next season, then we would love you to join us at THE CALL.

Leaders in the church, workplace or community*, retirees, singles and couples, gather with us, be inspired and mobilised to embrace your call and play your part in global change.

We particularly want Students & 20s to join with us, so we can be family together and learn from one another. SENT (students & 20s) will have their dedicated programme running alongside the main conference programme, but there will be plenty of opportunities to join together, particularly in the evening sessions, some seminars and socially across the period of the event.

While the conference is predominantly for those in the Relational Mission family, we would love our friends and partners as well as those wishing to explore connection with us to come along and be a part of THE CALL.

*Example of these roles could be... elders, those leading church plants, small group leaders, children's and youth work leaders, ministry leaders, community champions, workplace managers, directors and entrepreneurs.

While accommodation for the duration of the conference is not included in the ticket price, we have listed below a number of suggestions of accommodation providers (direct and internet search based) that may help you in making your accommodation choice.

We have also negotiated a special deal with all the Travelodge Hotels reasonably close to Friends House. Look out for more details being released shortly.

Think creatively when booking. For example it may be cheaper to hire a house for a group of delegates to stay at and split the cost, rather than go for separate hotel rooms.

Generally the earlier you book accommodation the cheaper it is, so get in fast.

Babies (0-3)

There are no creche facilities at Friends House, though babies are welcome. The building is fully accessible for pushchairs, though you may not be able to bring your pushchair into the main auditorium if it is full. It would be helpful to know if you intend to bring your baby with you, so please indicate as such on the booking form.

As this is an adult conference, we are unable to accommodate children at this event and there will not be any provision for them within the building. Though if you want to come as a group from your church, you could split who goes to the conference and who takes the kids to see the sights around London. Please see our conference terms and conditions for full information about refunds.

The full programme for the event will be released and available a few months prior to the event. Updates and changes to the event will be detailed on the relationalmission.org/thecall webpages.

It’s simple! The SENT delegates will have their own programme, as will Leadership Conference delegates. There will be some separate sessions during the day but each evening we will be joining together.

Please note: You will not be able to switch between the two programmes. If you’re a student or in your 20s, you’ll follow the SENT programme and if you’re a leadership delegate, you’ll follow that one. This will be managed at the event.

There will be plenty of social time to hang out with each other within the programme as well.

Booking for Seminars will be enabled closer to the event in 2020. You will need to update your original conference booking and add your chosen seminars. Please note there are limited places for each seminar and places are allocated on a first come first served basis prior to the conference.

The great news is that we’re in Central London so there’s food and drink available literally everywhere you turn! You are responsible for arranging your own meals throughout the Conference.

There will be a number of Relational Mission recommended books available at the Conference. Friend’s House have their own bookshop, which you are welcome to visit. However, Relational Mission would not necessarily endorse all of the books available from it.

There is a lovely café in Friend’s House, where you can purchase refreshments. We will not be providing refreshments free of charge.
